What sets us apart from other consulting firms is that our approach is designed specifically with SMEs in mind. We know that often the constraint on progress for many businesses is having people around who are good at “getting stuff done”. That’s why we have a team of people with a wide range of skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and the experience of similar challenges, who can slot into your business to help.

What we do

We work with business owners who, for a variety of reasons, find they have a skills gap on the top team. In order to maximise the value of the business, we help the owner on the following key areas:

How we do it

For over 10 years we’ve been working alongside SME business owners, helping them run their companies. The hub of it all is the monthly board meeting where everyone’s priorities, including ours, are agreed and monitored. We then deliver on our priorities between meetings using all of our team:

  • Strategy, Drive and Governance - We prepare, chair, minute and chase actions for board meetings to set and monitor strategic and tactical goals
  • Build An Amazing Team – Development and recruitment of senior people using our very comprehensive selection process
  • Drive Sales Growth –Improved Lead Generation using the latest Digital Marketing techniques, enhanced by state of the art Marketing Automation Software
  • Systemise Processes - Make the business more robust, scalable and sellable using bespoke databases to replace spreadsheets, link disparate systems and fill workflow gaps

Managing Director

David has been working in SME consulting since 2004, initially as Head of Consulting in an Accounting practice and now as founder of Wellmeadow Limited. “In his consulting career, David has developed a specialism of helping owner managed firms in various sectors from manufacturing to solicitors and everything in between. His contribution to an organisation is making sure that the right things are focussed on, and then get done. He now acts as a non-executive director for several firms, and works with the rest of the Wellmeadow team to fill the gaps in senior teams to make things happen.”

Richard is a Director of Wellmeadow Limited and has been working in SME consulting since 2008. Richard has developed a keen understanding of the challenges facing SME business owners across a range of industries. He enjoys bringing a strategically focused and analytical approach to sales process management, marketing and organisational systems and processes. He is passionate about working with business owners to help them develop and deliver the vision for their organisation.

Andrea became a part of the Wellmeadow team as a Consultant in March 2015. Having spent the previous five years in legal practice management, Andrea has been responsible for managing change, driving business process improvement, and championing best practice, and has contributed towards setting and implementing strategy.

Evgeny joined our team in January 2014. A product of the University of Bath School of Management, he graduated in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in International Management and German. Evgeny has a diverse skill set which he uses to deliver results across a wide spectrum of business activities. More recently he has been focusing on new ERP technologies and their ability to improve and enhance business systems and processes.
