John has enjoyed a plus 30-year engineering career with Hatch where he has excelled at leadership roles that combined technical, project and management positions. He is an accomplished process engineer, a seasoned project manager, and an experienced global business leader. He has applied his skill and effort to expand the scope and volume of Hatch’s business throughout the world, playing important roles in Hatch's growth, especially in the expansion of the business in Africa, Australia, South America and in China. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hatch, John represents a team of more than 9,000 employees located in 45 offices on six continents,.

Managing Director, Hatch Digital

Craig began his journey at Hatch over three years ago after a thirty-five-year career leading companies engaged in automation and robotics system development for space, medical, nuclear, and manufacturing applications. Energized by the opportunity to lead a digital company inside a large engineering and professional services firm, Craig joined Hatch in 2016 as managing director, Hatch digital. The best part about Craig’s job? Having the opportunity to combine world-renowned subject matter expertise in mining, metals, infrastructure, and energy with leading-edge digital capabilities to solve our clients’ toughest challenges.

Tim is an experienced development economist with 15 years of consultancy experience. He specialises in economic impact assessment, business case development and economic appraisal and works within a wide range of sectors and policy areas, including arts and culture, higher education, tourism, access to finance, energy, land and property, the low carbon economy, and housing. His areas of expertise include: economic impact assessment, economic appraisal and cost-benefit analysis, business case development and case making, socio-economic analysis, strategy development and evaluation.

Global Director, Urban Solutions

Darren is a Global Director, Urban Solutions at Hatch. He has over the last 25 years led major economic development consultancy assignments spanning evaluation, policy and strategy advice, economic appraisal and economic impact analysis. He entered economic consultancy direct from University and worked for both DTZ and SQW prior to joining Regeneris Consulting in 2001, when the company was being set up. He led the integration of Regeneris Consulting with the global Urban Solutions team at Hatch. His consultancy career in the last 5 years has focused primarily on economics for the land and property sector.

Lauren Newby


Lauren is a Director at Hatch. She is an experienced economic development and regeneration advisor with over twenty years of consultancy and practical experience in the UK and overseas. She started her career at DTZ (now Cushman & Wakefield) and worked across economics and development consultancy roles during my time there. She enjoyed a stint at SGS Economics & Planning in Australia where she was involved in masterplanning new communities and revitalising urban centres.

Daniel Lindsay


Daniel is a Director at Hatch. Daniel’s key areas of work cover economic impact assessment and appraisal, local economic and labour market analysis, strategy development and sector studies. Daniel regularly leads on economic appraisal and business cases development - most recently developing business cases for the Future High Street Fund, Town's Fund, and the Housing Infrastructure Fund.
