Four Eyes Insight use extensive clinical expertise to identify and implement significant healthcare efficiencies, embedding and sustaining effective change combined with bespoke monitoring solutions

Four Eyes Insight find, deliver and implement significant efficiencies for hospitals and trusts through an approach designed by clinicians for clinicians.

FEI was founded by clinically-focused productivity experts Dr Henry Carleton and Brian Wells in 2012, Four Eyes has worked with over 1500 clinicians to date with key successes including, transforming a £5m deficit into a £2m surplus through creating a 45 per cent increase in cases delivered through a trust’s operating theatres.

We identify, implement and embed effective and sustained change. We specialise in improving productivity and efficiency in operating theatres, across outpatient clinics and throughout patient pathways. We also build bespoke patient pathway level demand & capacity business plan models to design a service for your needs.

Record of success

We have built our reputation on a consistent record of success, including transforming a £5m deficit into a £2m surplus. Whilst creating a 45 per cent increase in cases through operating theatres in a trauma and orthopaedics unit. Our theatre programmes have been delivered in over 30 trusts with over 1000 clinicians signing off our methodology.

Holistic process

We stand apart because our process is holistic, covering design, delivery and implementation across the whole hospital and patient pathway. From when the patient is seen in clinic to when they are discharged post surgery our approach looks at every step. Supported by our bespoke tools, it even extends to remote monitoring for ongoing support after the initial implementation is complete. This monitoring and regular reports ensure new procedures are being captured as well as offering early intervention if productivity slips.

Sustainable change

Our whole focus is on creating sustainable change that lasts. The process starts with analysing our client’s detailed operational data down to surgeon/clinician, procedure and theatre/clinic level. Getting clinician buy-in at every stage of the process, resulting in client-led solutions building on robust and credible data.

Clinical experience

Our team, who have extensive hands-on experience, guide clients every step of the way through the implementation process, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them as the new processes are embedded, always on hand to explain and adapt where needed. We prioritise strong clinical engagement throughout the programme as we have determined that this is the single most critical factor in creating sustainable efficiencies.
