Managing Director & Senior Partner; Global Leader, Technology Advantage Practice, London

Karalee Close is the global leader of Boston Consulting Group's Technology Advantage practice and a core member of DigitalBCG’s Global Senior Management team. She is an active sponsor of the firm’s Women@BCG and Women in Technology initiatives. Karalee’s client work focuses on digital and technology-enabled transformations in health care and other industry sectors, including consumer products, media and entertainment, oil and gas, retail, technology, and telecommunications. In the public sector, she focuses on digital strategy, data-driven transformation, operating model development, capability building, cost reduction, risk and portfolio management, and IT governance. Prior to joining BCG, Karalee held senior management positions in Canadian hospitals.

Javier Anta Callersten

Managing Director & Partner, London

Javier Anta Callersten is a core member of the Consumer and the Marketing, Sales & Pricing practices at The Boston Consulting Group, and he is the European topic leader for pricing and promotions in retail. He is also the London leader of BCG’s GAMMA team, which helps clients create competitive advantage by optimizing their big data and analytics capabilities. Since joining BCG in 2011, Javier’s client work has focused primarily on the retail industry. He has worked with companies across ten different countries on category reset programs, new promotion and pricing models, category strategies, and new operating models. His engagements have covered sectors such as F&B, airports, DIY, and petroleum retail. Prior to joining BCG, Javier was an associate partner and the retail practice leader for Iberia at Oliver Wyman. He also worked for PwC Consulting (IBM BCS) as a consultant.

Niki Aryana

Managing Director & Senior Partner, London

Niki Aryana is a member of The Boston Consulting Group's Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice as well as the firm’s Consumer, Corporate Development, Operations, and Marketing & Sales practices. Since joining BCG in 1999, he has worked on numerous operational and strategic projects in the television, publishing, and information services industries. He has also worked on engagements in the music industry, covering topics from artist portfolio management to online music distribution and strategy. Niki leads BCG’s television topic worldwide. Niki has extensive client experience in business transformations and postmerger integrations, and he has helped develop numerous corporate strategies. Before joining BCG, Niki worked for Procter & Gamble as a department head in new-brand development within the fabric-and-home-care-business unit.

Kiril Bliznakov

Managing Director & Senior Partner, London

Kiril Bliznakov joined Boston Consulting Group in 2008 and is a core member of the firm’s Energy practice. He is the regional practice area leader of Western Europe and South America and leads BCG's global work in retail and marketing for oil products. His focus has been on the downstream oil and gas and petrochemical industries. He has worked on projects—most often on operational improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term strategy development—for clients in Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East. In recent client work, Kiril has performed due diligence for a €2 billion industrial conglomerate covering aerospace, food processing, and industrial services and has created a “Waste to Energy” M&A strategy for a global equipment provider. Prior to working at BCG, Kiril worked at Booz Allen and Hamilton as manager and British Petroleum as a financial controller.

Stuart Quickenden is Office Administrator of the London, Amsterdam, and Brussels (L-A-B) system at Boston Consulting Group, as well as a member of BCG's Group Executive Committee, and Managing Partner for BCG across the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Stuart has 20 years of consulting experience serving clients in multiple industries and geographies in all aspects of strategy, operations, and transformation. Prior to BCG he worked as a brand manager in consumer goods for Procter and Gamble. He is a Non-Executive at the UK Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), including membership in ARAC.

Ulrike Schwarz-Runer

Managing Director & Senior Partner; General Counsel, London

Ulrike Schwarz-Runer joined Boston Consulting Group as General Counsel in 2016. She is a member of the Executive Committee as well as other core management committees and company boards. Prior to joining BCG, Ulrike was general counsel and a board director of a large family-owned business in the UK and a sovereign wealth fund in the Middle East. Earlier in his career, Ulrike served as executive director at Goldman Sachs advising family-owned businesses and as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.
