We invest our expertise and energy into making the NHS and patients better off. We deliver in partnership; 75% of our clients have been with us for over 12 months. Our team of 80+ UK healthcare experts brings together the best of the public, private and not for profit sectors.

We work in partnership with the NHS by providing capacity and capability from short term advisory to longer term delivery roles in:

Founded in 2011 by three professionals with deep health, consulting and industry expertise, Attain’s purpose has always been to transform health and care services. With a deeply held vision of a values driven organisation with an ethical commercial model, Mark, Martin and Struan have focused on delivering real change for the sector.

Attain was launched in January 2011 and has grown rapidly, working for a range of health and local authority organisations across England and Wales. We have worked with organisations with a combined budget of £25 billion and covering a population in excess of 20 million. Attain brings together people with public and private sector backgrounds, including a high proportion of clinicians, to unite the core values of the public sector with private sector commercial insight and good practice. We have a clear vision and sense of identity and are delighted to be a place where talented people want to work. We are committed to providing value to our customers and cap our profits at 12%. The company is owned by staff, with wide employee share ownership.

Helen started her career as a civil servant and has since spent 18 years as a public-sector management consultant working with numerous high-profile government clients. She has delivered large scale programmes and projects and has a strong track record in advising clients on strategy, change, business planning, service transformation and delivery and organisational design and development. Helen won the Sunday Times and Management Consulting Association’s Change Management Consultant of the Year award in 2007. Since joining Attain in 2012, Helen has supported her clients to operate as effective and robust organisations - including developing strategy, designing effective organisational structures and governance arrangements, integration and partnership working across health and social care and designing and delivering organisational development strategies to build effective teams.

We work across the spectrum from system design, transformation of individual services through to commercial advisory and delivery. We work to make person-centric integrated care a reality. We support customers to deliver on their care and wellbeing responsibilities through partnership working and mixed customer and Attain teams. We are at the forefront of supporting the design and implementation of New Models of Care across the country, developing services that are: joined up, integrated and are sustainable, avoiding unnecessary admissions.

Chris, a Director of Attain, has extensive commercial experience both in the private and public sectors. Chris is a proactive, forward thinking individual, highly motivated to achieve outstanding results. He has a track record of delivering successful outcomes in challenging environments. Since joining Attain at its inception at the beginning of 2011, Chris has worked on a number of assignments working with commissioners and providers to help to support the delivery of improved health and wellbeing. Chris has also worked on a variety of system wide projects and is currently leading the Attain team supporting the development and implementation of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).
